Words, Words, Words: Sites that have to do with using language (written or spoken) to communicate. Wordle Link This is the site that makes a cloud out of the words in a document. Pictures
Picture management sites include Flickr, and Picasa(a Google product) TED videos--see the talks without spending upwards of $30,000! The More We Get Together (PLN's) Independent School Educators Ning: This Ning tilts towards tech types, but includes classroom teachers too. Participants are nearly all from independent schools. Classroom 2.0: This very active Ning is full of classroom practitioners. Information Overload Diigo: Be Sarah's"friend" and get access to all the IOI sites she's found and annotated! CommonCraft Videos: This site has the great, short videos explaining various tech (and non tech, there are videos explaining zombies and presidential elections) topics using plain English and hand drawn illustrations. Landmark-Project: This is David Warlick's site. It includes tools for building rubrics and making bibliographies.
Other citation tools: Bibme, (you can literally put in just the ISBN and it'll give you the citation in any format) Zotero (works as a Firefox extension). Lucky (wildcards) Geocaching. This cool hobby involves technology and old fashioned sweat.
